Grant Brothers Boxing & MMA Club

On Sunday I was invited to the 1 year Anniversary event for the Grant Brothers Boxing & MMA Club in North York, Toronto. I took a few photos of the club empty before the crowd came. The Grant Brothers Club celebrated with a meet and greet with Dan Hardy & Roy Nelson and a few demonstrations of the different classes they offer.

Michelle, Perry, & Animals

About a month ago my friend Michelle asked if I would be willing to take some photos of her, Perry, and their pets. I loved the idea. They are her family. When I started taking photos they were always of our cats. It took a while to find a day that would fit all three and have nice weather. Here are a few of my favourite shots, and more on my flickr page.

Katy, Tayla, & Her Monkey

A few weeks ago, at a family dinner, my cousin Katy asked if I could take a few photos of her and her daughter Tayla (my unofficial-niece!), of course I said yes! A week or two later, after it had rained, we met up at the local beach, Lake Ontario, and walked around. She was shy at first, we’ve only met once or two, but slowly Tayla came out of her shell and gave me the great smiles and faces that I love.

Katy had two outfits for her, the knitted peach sweater was a gift my mom made for her and now it fits. I also just love the Monkey backpack that was needed as soon as she saw the water. Katy had her up at our Grandma’s beach front trailer all summer and she loves to swim. For more photos, check out my Flickr page, but clicking on any the the following photos

Jaxon’s 3rd Birthday

Last year around the same time, one of my close college friends had me take photos of her nephew for his second birthday as a gift to his mom. This year she had be do the same thing for his third birthday. This little boy is a model now with an agent. We had a fun day at the park and in my backyard, with a few spots where he did not want to look at the camera, but I told him if he smiled he could pick an apple off the tree. You do want to have to to get a photo.

I also took along one of the two small green chairs that we have. I have been dying to use them for something. He loved it.

Family of Four

A few weeks ago I spend a second morning at the Flower Garden in Oshawa taking portraits of a family of four. Great kids that did pretty much everything I asked, and said cheese every time I had them smile. So cute! Did a bunch of photos of the kids, alone and together, a few of just mom & dad, and some of mom and dad with each child. Family & Flowers

Sunday morning I met up at the Botanical Gardens with a previous co-worker from Roots, Danielle, Ryan, and their daughter Sadie. I took some photos of all three of them, some of just Sadie, and anything that looked cute. Here are two of them, and a few more are on my Flickr page, and Facebook. I’m really enjoying the photo shoots I have this summer.

Bubbles at the Lake

Last Thursday, I went down to the lake with my cousin, his wife, and their adorable little girl Mikyala. We took a few photos of her in the water, and on the grass with some bubbles. Casie at Habour Front

After shooting Reggy, she drove me down (Thanks!!) to meet Casie at her place near Habour Front. We talked about some different photos, how long I’ve had my camera for, what I liked about living in the Country (good photos with open lands, and corn fields), and then headed out for a walk near the water and in the Music Garden. Reggy in Toronto

On Sunday I had two scheduled portrait shoots in Toronto, and I was crazy excited about them. I get super excited anytime I get the chance to photograph someone new! The first was an online friend, Reggy, that I have met before. We decided to meet around China Town and go for a bit of a walk until we find something nice. The first few photos I took were at the Ryerson Public School in their play ground, and then we went over to Alexandra Park.

This is one of my favourite from the day, I loved the colour wall behind her.

We found these chairs sitting on someone’s lawn. So I got my camera ready, Reggy ran and sat down, we snapped a few until we heard people coming, and then walked away.

As always there are a few more on Flickr, I only posted 12 of the 21 that I am giving Reggy, so I might post a few more after I find out which ones she loves best.

Tea Party

My mom and Aunts put on a tea party this weekend for the females of the family, and a few of our friends. It turned into a photo shoot of my cousin’s daughter Tayla. You can find more photos of the little sweetheart, my cousins, and my sister in the Flickr Album.
